The Active Worlds environment is one of the most customizable,
especially when developing your own world! From object modeling
to intricate world features settings, Active Worlds is extremely
user definable.
2– Streaming Media
Though not yet widely adapted, the stream media feature
sets Active Worlds ahead of most other 3d chat technologies.
The stream media feature allows users to display streaming
media files directly through the browser, just like pictures.
3– Simple Interface
The Active Worlds browser is simple and easy to use. It's
organized and isn't as confusing as many competing 3d browsers.
4– Adjustable Interface
The browser is also resizable and many of the menus, tabs,
and other interface features can be turned on, off, moved,
or otherwise modified.

Building rights give users the ability to build their very
own creations in public building worlds.
6– Communication Features
Telegrams are simple and make remote contact easy among
users. Chatting is simple and easy to read in a chat display
or above users' avatars. Whisper allows users to communicate
one-on-one. Join and invite allows users to easily get together
with one another.
7– Privacy
Want to screen join requests? Working on a personal project
or in a secret meeting? The privacy features let users block
off other citizens and even hide whether they're online
or not.

The world features and rights menus offer a plethora of
variations to be chosen in regards to the appearance of
the world, and who can do what within your world.

An array of building commands are available to make objects
move and appear to ones wildest dreams.
